The tiny ceramic paintings were originally inspired by ceramic test tiles – a common process in the field of ceramics.
Understanding materiality not exclusively as a means to an end, but as a vehicle of expression in itself, I developed a series of works that break away from pure functionality. Instead of subordinating itself to sculptural finality, this series emancipates itself and asserts itself as an independent artistic work.
The works are created in a state of creative flow – a moment of intuitive gesture, characterized by lightness, sensuality, and the joyful exploration of structure and material. Each object is an expression of a direct, unfiltered engagement with the artistic process itself – far from intellectual calculation, close to the essence of creation.
